An assortment of anchored and moored boats sits in the foreground of this Netherlandish scene. Taking up a large space in the background; framed by a bright blue sky; is the quaint figure of a windmill, still in working order and with all its original features. The colourful painted details on the windmill door and on the bodies of the boats add an uplifting feel to this scenic snapshot.
The framing for this, as with all the work I produce, is by Jessica Catchpole, owner of JMC Fine Art framers. She herself is a fine artist who brings a natural artist’s eye for detail to her framing choices, and over the years we have collaborated in making frames for my paintings and prints that bring out the detail and colour in the best possible way.
